Stivlo'st in Asia

Phra Pathom Chedi is located in Muang District, Nakhon Pathom Province, 56 kilometers west of Bangkok. The chedi (stupa) rises 127 meters into the air with the radius of the base of 233.50 meters.

Over 2,000 years ago, a Buddhism missionary from lndia was sent to introduce Buddhism and its philosophy to a land called Suwannaphum, which had Nakhon Pathom as its capital.

The name Phra Pathom Chedi means Holy chedi (stupa) of the beginning. It is the largest and tallest buddist monument the world.

Last Friday I threw a Party to celebrate the new Quidlab office. (Website still under construction).

I didn’t expect to receive so many gifts! Actually I didn’t expect to receive gifts at all. But I got 5 flowers bouquets, 4 small plants to decorate desks or the cupboard, stilish white coffee cups and dish, cup, glass set in violet bumped glass.

Not to mention the people who helped me preparing the party and the people who helped to finish those stale beers bottles!

What can I say!? Thank you guys!

There is a small altar where the people is offering flowers and praying. There is one for each day of the week.

Wow! A nine stars hotel! Must be really good!

On 2nd January I went a few hours in Burma to extend my stay in Thailand for the few days needed before flying to Australia.

I tried to spend some money that could go to the people there. I had lunch, took a tuk tuk to visit around, bought a few postcards. I wanted to have a massage but I couldn’t find any place doing massage. Only in Thailand there are plenty.

I went to a party for new year in Hand Dong, near Chiang Mai. This picture is taken the day after. No wonder I’m still sleeping!
