Victoria peak is at the top of a hill dominating Hong Kong. Of course they built a big shopping center with a terrace dominating the city.
And this is the view from that terrace.
This is the terrace.. always crowded with people.. I had to wait for somebody to move before I could take a picture from the frontline.
Other views taken from the path going around the hill.
I arrived in Mong Kok with underground. There I bought a “peoples” local sim card and tried to call Lilian, my ex-girlfriend from Hong Kong. She had to pick me up and show me where is my accomodation: a room in a private flat nearby. Unfortunately I had a bit of troubles trying to make the call because I forgot some code from Thailand before the number. Since I was calling from the address book I didn’t notice that.
The lady selling clothes noticed that.. and she offered me to sit on her chair, and she also tried to activate my new sim card for me. When I finally could, she also speak with Lilian and explained her where I was.
Since it was not easy to find me, in some secondary street of Mong Kok I had quite a long wait. I tried to say maybe is better if I go to the main road.. but she said “Cho la”, sit down in cantonese.. eheh.. she has been very kind and when Lilian finally arrived, she scolded her: where have you been? Your friend has been waiting for a long time!
That was the second person being very friendly with me today. Just before a pretty girl approached me in the underground asking me if I needed any help. And I told her that I wanted to buy the sim card that I bought in a 7 eleven for 60 hk$.
On Thursday I will fly to Hong Kong from Bangkok with China Airlines. I booked a one way ticket on their website for 4635 Thai Baht including taxes. Not bad for a three hours flight.
In the meantime I’m still in the old Chiang Mai and I will take the night bus on Wednesday evening so I can avoid to stay in Bangkok more than a few hours.
One of the most beautiful temple in Chiang Mai.
